What you can rely on here, and what you cannot

Botlero is a free reference site with no account, no payment and nothing to agree to before reading it. These terms exist for one reason worth stating plainly: to be exact about the difference between a value that has a source and a value that is correct.

What Botlero is

An independent directory of humanoid robots. Botlero does not manufacture, sell, resell, broker, lease or service robots, takes no commission and accepts no payment for inclusion or for placement. It is not affiliated with any manufacturer, and no manufacturer can edit a value on it. What it publishes about a robot is assembled from pages that the manufacturer and third-party directories have already published, and every published value shows which page, which sentence, and on what date that sentence was last seen there.

Accuracy: sourced and quoted, not verified

This is the most important sentence on the page. Botlero's checks prove that a real page said this, on a page about this robot — they do not prove that the statement is true, and they cannot. A manufacturer can publish an optimistic figure; a directory can copy a number into the wrong field; a value measured under one condition can be presented as if it held under all of them. Botlero's answer to that is not a promise of correctness but a shortcut to checking: the source and the exact sentence are one click away from every value, so you never have to take this site's word for anything.

So: the data here is provided as is, without any warranty that it is accurate, complete, current or fit for a particular purpose. Where two sources disagree, both are shown, ranked, each with its own source — Botlero does not hide a disagreement behind a single confident number. And where nobody publishes a value, the field is simply absent rather than filled with an estimate.

Not advice, and never a safety decision

Nothing here is professional, legal, engineering, regulatory, financial or purchasing advice, and nothing here is a substitute for a manufacturer's own manual, datasheet or safety documentation.

Safety and certification claims are other people's claims. Botlero reports that a page claimed a standard, in that page's own words, and shows whether the wording says a certification has been achieved or is expected — because those are not the same sentence. It certifies nothing itself, it does not assess conformity, and a claim shown here is not evidence that a robot is safe or lawful to operate anywhere.
Do not use this site to decide whether a machine is safe to be near, install, or put to work. Use the manufacturer's documentation, the applicable standards and a qualified assessment. A humanoid robot is a physical machine with a mass and a reach.
Regulatory status changes and is jurisdictional. A certification, a radio approval or a declaration of conformity applies to a specific model, revision and market, on a specific date. Read it at its source.

Prices, availability and dates

A price shown here is what a source published on the date given, in the currency that source used, and it is labelled with whether it is a list price, an estimate or a subscription. It is not an offer, it is not a quotation and nobody is bound by it. The same applies to availability dates and deployment claims: they describe what a page said when it was read.

Quotations, images and who owns what

Quotations belong to the page they came from. Botlero stores and shows a short verbatim sentence beside each value, with a link to the page and the date, for the purpose of letting a reader verify a specification. The text of that sentence remains the property of whoever published it, and it is quoted here under attribution rather than claimed.
Images are never copied. Photographs and videos stay on the manufacturer's own page. Botlero links to them; it does not re-host them, and where a manufacturer blocks direct linking the page says so instead of showing a broken image.
Trade marks belong to their owners. Robot names, model names, company names and logos are used to identify the products being described. Their use here is nominative and implies no endorsement, sponsorship or affiliation in either direction.
Some sources set a condition, and it is honoured in one place. Where a source publishes a licence that asks for its credit in a particular form, the condition is met on the About page rather than assumed.

What you may do with Botlero's own work

Botlero's own contribution is the structure: which fields exist, how a value is checked, how sources are ranked, which values were superseded and when. You are welcome to read it, link to it, and quote it with attribution and a link — that is what it is for, and a citation is more useful to a reader than a copy.

There is a public JSON endpoint carrying the same values the pages show, with their sources, quotes and dates. It needs no key and has no published rate limit, which is a courtesy rather than a commitment: please cache what you fetch and request at a rate a person could plausibly produce, exactly as Botlero's own pipeline is required to do when it reads someone else's site. The shape of that response may change, and it may be limited if it is abused. Do not republish this site's content in bulk with the sources and quotes stripped off — that removes the only thing that makes it checkable, and it is the specific practice Botlero exists as an alternative to.

If you are a manufacturer or a source website

If a value taken from your page is wrong or out of date, say which page and what it should say; the page will be re-fetched and requoted. If you believe a quotation from your site exceeds what you are willing to allow, say so and it will be reviewed on its merits rather than argued about — Botlero already removes a source entirely when its published terms say so, and keeps a written record of that decision in its own configuration. Either way the route is the same: Report it.

Links to other websites

Botlero links out constantly, by design. Those pages are not under its control; their content, availability and terms are their own, and a link is not an endorsement. If a linked page has changed since it was read, the date beside the value is the honest record of when it said what is quoted.

Availability of the site

There is no service-level promise. This is a self-funded project: it may be slow, briefly unavailable, or changed without notice, and pages, fields and URLs may be added or removed as the catalogue grows.

Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Botlero and its maintainer are not liable for any loss or damage arising from use of, or reliance on, anything published here — including a decision to buy, deploy, operate or be near a machine. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Where these terms apply, and what they can never take away from you

Botlero is a free information website, readable from anywhere. It has no local establishment, representative, office or infrastructure in any country, it is not marketed at or aimed at the residents of any particular country, and it sells nothing, takes no payment and opens no accounts anywhere. Nothing on it is an offer, a solicitation or an invitation to do business in any jurisdiction.

Your own law still applies to you. You are responsible for complying with the law that applies where you are. If anything published here may not lawfully be accessed, read or reused in your country, do not access, read or reuse it.
Rights you cannot sign away, you have not signed away. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any right you have under the consumer-protection law — or any other mandatory law — of your own country of residence that cannot lawfully be excluded. Where a sentence in these terms conflicts with such a right, that right wins and the sentence does not.
If one part fails, the rest stands. If any provision here is unenforceable where you are, it is treated as absent in that country only and the remainder continues to apply. Not enforcing something on one occasion is not giving it up.
English is the governing language. These terms are written in English. A translation, whether made by you, by a browser or by a machine, is for convenience; where a translation and the English differ, the English is what these terms say.

These terms do not choose a country's law or a court, and that is deliberate rather than an omission: there is nothing here to buy, no account to open and no payment to process, so there is no bargain for a choice-of-law clause to attach to. If a dispute ever arose, whichever court heard it would apply its own rules to decide which law governs — which is what would happen in any case. Naming a country Botlero is not operated from would be worse than naming none.

Changes to these terms

These terms describe the site as currently deployed, and they are part of the same source code, so a change in how the site works and a change to this page ship together. Last reviewed 28 September 2026. Using the site means accepting the version published at the time you use it.
